Proxy Setup for NewsFire?

Like other Mac OS X feed readers, NewsFire uses the systemwide proxy settings. See Mac OS X proxy setup.
Update interval
Note that with FeedTree, you'll want to ask NewsFire to poll the proxy as often as possible to make sure the freshest news appears in the NewsFire window. To do this, open the Preferences and change the default update frequency to 5 or 10 minutes:
